Cluster support for LVM

I am tasked with setting up a RHEL 3.0 cluster at work, primarily for
file sharing to begin with. I'm drawn to LVM for its management and
snapshot features, but I am under the impression that LVM is not
supported in a RHEL 3.0 cluster environment. However, I just read a
how-to article (www.totaltec.com/tco/ProLiant%20DL380Cluster.pdf) re:
step-by-step setup of a RHEL 2.1 cluster on HP Proliant DL380s (granted,
using HP's ServiceGuard product) which details using LVM, making each
volume group unavailable to the node it is not assigned to. I feel
comfortable doing configuration work, but not so doing debugging and
recompiles. So, my question is, should I run LVM on this cluster? If I
have to write some disk management instructions, fine, but if LVM
updates will break the system I think I'd rather stay on the supported
list. What does everyone else use?
