My logrotate.conf file is as follows:

# see "man logrotate" for details
# rotate log files weekly
weekly

# keep 4 weeks worth of backlogs
rotate 4

# create new (empty) log files after rotating old ones
create

# uncomment this if you want your log files compressed #compress

# RPM packages drop log rotation information into this directory include
/etc/logrotate.d

# no packages own wtmp -- we'll rotate them here
/var/log/wtmp {
    monthly
    create 0664 root utmp
    rotate 1
}

# system-specific logs may be also be configured here.

1) it seems to be original one. In fact, you can check if you have
original logrotate config by running

rpm -V logrotate

2) try to run 

logrotate /etc/logrotate.conf 

command manually nad check return code [echo $? ]

you may add "-v" key for verbose

Try:
]# logrotate --debug --verbose --force

which will force logrotate to try and rotate all of your logs, and  
output them in a verbose fashion in debug mode so your logs will not  
actually get rotated.

Note that logrotate will also include all of the files in  
/etc/logrotate.d


I suspect you will find the problem with the first command, if not send

the output and we can try and help you.

Hi,
I have been trying to get up2date working for a few weeks with email
support but haven't gotten very far. In the meantime I have been
downloading rpm one at a time to try and get fixes installed a very slow
and tedious process. When I run up2date it picks up the package list but
when it tries to actually update the packages I get a segmentation
fault. Does anyone have any ideas?
