I had the same problem few weeks ago after I installed a bunch of  RPMs
from several repositories. I followed the directions at 
<https://rhn.redhat.com/help/faq/technical_questions.pxt#227> and it 
worked again without problems. BTW, it really takes a long time to
download all RPMS. Keep a local copy just in case :-)
