Errata after U3 work on U2?

Operational question here.  We have our internal distro based on RHEL 3
U2.  We need to test U3 for a few months, but we'd like to take
advantage of certain Errata that have been released after U3 (i.e.
httpd).  Do the individual errata updates released after U3 (but not
part of U3) work on U2 and previous releases of RHEL 3?  Or are they
only certified to work on U3?
