Since you're four hours west of Greenwich, I expect the entries are being
written in GMT (aka UTC)
Yah, which it will do if there's no $TZ in the environment, or it can't
read /etc/localtime (which I betcha it can't when you chroot is with -s).
Look ma, I found the docs!
The question remains that why, all of a sudden after months of being
installed and functional, the syslog messages started appearing after the
UPD3 patches....
Eh, whatever, the developer left -v turned on from testing which is why I
was seeing these anyway, turned it off and all is quiet. Pesky
developers.
