Would assuming an answer was sincerely offered work for you? I wasn't trying
to be dismissive. I took the phrase "tried to get the hostname" to be
different from running the hostname command. I phrased the reply as a
question to acknowledge that it was a tenuous suggestion rather than
absolute knowledge.
