Hi, I am running a single-Opteron machine with RHEL 3.0 AS on it. For about a month or so, I have been having problems running up2date on this machine: When I launch up2date graphically, it just hangs up. So I ran it on the command line as 'up2date --update'. I get the following normal outout: ---------------- Fetching Obsoletes list for channel: rhel-x86_64-as-3... Fetching rpm headers... ---------------- And after that, up2date just hangs. After I long time, I am forced to cancel the update, and I get the following error: -------------- There was an SSL error: A common cause of this error is the system time being incorrect. Verify that the time on this system is correct. -------------- I can't understand what the problem is. 'up2date -p' works fine. I know I have the latest SSL certificate. I also know that the system time is correct. Output of 'uname -a' - Linux 2.4.21-15.0.4.EL #1 Sat Jul 31 01:27:22 EDT 2004 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Thanks, Saurabh. |
