Hi,
We recently upgraded to initscripts initscripts-7.31.16.EL-1. The
upgrade broke our network settings by failing to set a default gateway
at all.
We opened a bug report and are working with RedHat to track down the
problem. In the meantime, we're using /etc/rc.local to correct the
routing table.
Now, however, we've got a nastier problem. On one of our machines, the
upgrade completely broke the bonded interface. There is no default
gateway, but unlike the other machines, manually add the gateway did
*not* resolve the issue. We are unable to get anywhere on the network,
even on the local subnet.
The only clue I have at this point is that the physical interfaces have
no IPs. In other words, when I run ifconfig, bond0 comes up with an IP,
but the interfaces it is bonding (eth0,eth2) do not. This seems wrong,
but honestly I'm not sure.
I am trying to bond an Intel and a Broadcom card, and again, this was
working until a recent upgrade.
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
