Thanks to all who have replied, both on- and off-list.

To answer a few questions (and thus, hopefully, get a better answer):
1) We already use Meetingmaker and upgrading to 8.5 isn't an option for 
several reasons, among which are: the lack of a Solaris client (7.x had 
one and it at least allowed my Linux users to hobble along), the lack of 
*server side notifications* (which is an idiocy that I have repeatedly 
complained to the MM support/sales staff about and which they have shown 
no inclination to fix) meaning that users either have an active client 
or they don't get reminded of upcoming meetings, and lastly, the fact 
that it's coded to the Win32 API and not one of the more modern ones 
meaning that it's completely multi-user UNfriendly.  We install it on 
our terminal servers and it gets almost immediately corrupted.  All of 
this adds up to leaving our *NIX users out in the cold, which is not an 
option.

2) Hula server doesn't yet support rich client interactions.  It's a 
nice web-based calendar and an unnecessary webmail app at this point.

3) Oracle Calendar is overkill and also doesn't seem to install on 
RHEL3, AFAICT.  Every package I've downloaded from Oracle has complained 
that I'm not running RHEL 2.1 or UnitedLinux 1.0(!).  Talk about behind 
the times...!

4) I can't get OpenExchange to stinkin' authenticate ANY users.  It 
doesn't seem to be inserting accounts into LDAP correctly and I'm 
getting pretty frustrated at it...
