IBM xSeries monitoring

I know we've had some discussions on here about the Compaq tools and how
good/bad they are...anyone using anything to monitor IBM xSeries boxes?
IBM has director but would be nice to just have something that you could
check status on hardware failures, and send email if something does
break.
Ideas?
