These aren't Linux clients - they're Windows desktops (sorry, I don't
control them).

I've mentioned in another post that this isn't a "copy what needs to be
copied" type of activity - I've used rsync for that a bunch of times.
In this application, every file to be copied will be a brand new file.

I am looking at some of the bandwidth limiting features of scp now and
we'll see if we can do some performance tests - limiting bandwidth with
Aspera SCP and openssh scp and see what the difference is.
