We have a winner here. Yes, the Solaris client was up at full-duplex and the
RedHat server at half-duplex. I was able to force the interface to full-duplex
using 'ethtool'. For the record, there's also 'mii-tool' which can be used
for this purpose as well.

Well, now the interface config's are both full-duplex, I can probably just
accept default wsize/rsize.
