I forgot to mention that an `up2date -u' was done the
morning before the outage. These boxes all have the big blue
tick in that rhn website...
# rpm -q losetup mount util-linux
losetup-2.11y-31.19
mount-2.11y-31.19
util-linux-2.11y-31.19
