I don't know if I'm the only one but I find the documentation on using
CGI with Tux confusing. It shouldn't be that difficult to set up. Does
anyone have a clear example of how to setup CGI with Tux? Particularly
confusing is what permissions to use and where things go -- especially
when using virtual hosts.
So, if I have a CGI program called "run" and two virtual hosts:
"www.mydomain.com" and "test.mydomain.com" and the URLs:
"http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/run" and
"http://test.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/scripts/run", how do I setup the
directory? Where do I put the zero-length files? What permissions do I
use? I know that it needs to match mode_cgi but that's not showing up
as a variable in Tux 2.2.3. I also couldn't find documention on the
S_???? types -- permissions like 4777 or ugo=r make more sense to me.
Thanks,
Robert
