Keyboard works in text but not in X

Hi all,

I recently did an up2date on my Redhat 9 system. During the update it installed a new version of XFree86. Now when I start X-Windows, the keyboard stops working. When I get out of X, it starts working again.

Everything work fine before the update.

The hardware:
PS/2 keyboard
ATI Remote (used as a mouse)

Here is a short list of things I have done to try to fix it:
1) Checked /var/log/XFree86.0.log for keyboard errors.... None found.
2) Generated a new XF86Config (XFree86 -configure)
3) Re-installed the XFree rpms from the Redhat 9 CD

Any other ideas?
