With Command Center, you can monitor a server platform and any number of applications on that machine at the low subscription price of $192/year per system.

Command Center monitors multiple platforms (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, VMWare ESX, etc.), applications (JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, etc.) and network services (DNS, FTP, Mail, Ping, SSH, RPC Services, SNMP, etc.). You may deploy any number probes on the system for the one low flat fee.

Complimentary check-alive monitoring for all servers or devices in your environment is offered as an additional value with Command Center.

Use the detailed monitoring at $192/server for your mission critical machines, and the complimentary monitoring in cases where it is sufficient to know whether the node is up or down.

Red Hat Command Center supports URL and web transaction monitoring. URL monitoring watches the response time, DNS lookup, connect time, and throughput for a single URL. Multiple URLs may be combined to monitor a multi-step web transition, such as a purchase through an e-commerce store.

Website monitoring can be performed from within as well as outside customer's network. Website monitoring probes deployed on a customer's scout are called local URLs, whereas those deployed on Red Hat's external scouts are called remote URLs.

In case of remote URL monitoring, the website URL is simultaneously watched from multiple remote scouts, which are placed strategically throughout the public Internet backbone. Red Hat's external scouts are available to all customers as a shared resource; customers do not require a local scout to use remote URL monitoring.

Local and remote URLs are priced at $24/year and $144/year per URL, respectively. There is no additional charge for executing multiple URLs as a transaction.

At $192 per server per year, the Command Center product pricing is competitive with other offerings with comparable capabilities. However, the product subscription or license cost is only a small portion of your total cost of ownership (TCO).

Traditional (installed) systems monitoring solutions require dedicated servers and databases. These solutions may require professional engagements to install and configure the system.
