Course Description
This course teaches participants directory server fundamentals and basic Red Hat Directory Server administration in a rapid track two day format, focusing on the essential aspects of managing and maintaining the directory server. RH141 introduces LDAP, including how to understand a directory and search it for information. It then shows how to set up the Red Hat Directory server and how to administer it.
Participants who desire a deeper understanding of the administration of directory servers should consider the four day RH145 Red Hat Directory Server Administration course.
Experienced Linux system administrators who wish to use the Red Hat Directory Server as a basis for an authorization subsystem integrated with Kerberos authentication will want to attend RH423 Red Hat Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication instead.
