Strong Growth for EMEA ISV Partner Ecosystem

RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Red Hat partner network has grown substantially across the globe during the past twelve months. Notably, within EMEA we currently have experienced an increase of nearly 50% since January 2009. We are seeing this growth within our ecosystem as customers seek high value solutions to help them carve costs out of the datacenter. ISVs that certify, embed or bundle their solutions with Red Hat's offerings are well-positioned to deliver cost savings to their customers. However, cost savings aren't the only reason why an increasing number of ISVs are selecting Red Hat technologies as their trusted platform.

Red Hat's ISV community has recognised that both middleware and platform open source solutions can help a customer standardise their operations, streamline their processes and enhance performance, scalability and reliability. The following newly recruited Red Hat Advanced ISV Partners all leverage Red Hat solutions to bring compliance, storage and backup expertise to customers;

- SEP AG aims to provide uninterrupted access to critical business resources with network-wide, enterprise-class data backup and recovery solutions. SEP is headquartered near Munich in Germany and has a subsidiary in Boulder, Colorado, USA.

- Headquartered in Switzerland, Bacula Systems offers enterprise-class open source network backup and recovery capabilities. Bacula helps companies increase security and reliability of mission-critical IT infrastructures and offers a cost-effective alternative to proprietary backup and restore applications.

- ItalTBS Group is present in nine European countries where its 14 operating companies offer services to more than 1.200 healthcare organisations. ItalTBS Group has a strong presence in the Italian healthcare industry and is able to provide expertise and technological solutions that meet the needs of its customers.

Red Hat is committed to facilitating the success of ISVs through the Red Hat ISV Program Track, which we have fully integrated into our Red Hat Partner Program in EMEA. Launched in April 2009, the two-tier certification process enables ISVs to select the appropriate level of Red Hat support for its needs.

For Red Hat, its partner ecosystem often provides a gateway into or increased strength across different verticals and geographies. For those ISVs with specialised solutions, vertical or geographic knowledge, the Red Hat Advanced ISV Partner program offers a myriad of benefits. From marketing support to developer support, ISVs can team with Red Hat to provide valuable solutions to the Enterprise.
