Naming Your Computer

Figure 9-24 prompts you to enter a name for your computer (called a hostname in TCP/IP parlance).

If you have a network card in your computer, enter a fully-qualified domain name of this format:

hostname . domain.name

where hostname is the name you've chosen for your computer and domain.name is the TCP/IP domain. (A domain name may be contain more nodes: for example, eastcoast.redhat.com and westcoast.redhat.com ).
