Red Hat Linux 7.2 contains several new features beyond the 7.1 release:

  • 2.4.7 kernel with ext3 journaling file system
  • GNOME 1.4 with the Nautilus file manager for graphical file management
  • KDE 2.2 with the Konqueror Web Browser
  • GRUB boot loader
  • New configuration tools for time and date, networking, users and groups, and services
  • New hardware viewing tool that quickly displays your system's hardware
  • Improved partitioning during installation
