Red Hat Announces Open Source Cloud Computing Forum

Today, we released a call for suggested presentations for our upcoming Open Source Cloud Computing Forum. With the current buzz surrounding cloud computing, we feel that it’s the right time for the open source vendor, developer and customer community to get together and discuss the future of open source clouds.

As the leading supplier of open source products and services, we believe that it is important to host events like this, so we encourage those interested in open source cloud computing to join us. The virtual event will provide time to discuss progress to date, issues and potential solutions and future directions. The event will be technically focused, with no marketing or product selling permitted.

The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2009, and it’ll be held virtually, allowing us to hear from presenters and attendees around the world while also minimizing costs.

We invite developers, vendors and customers to submit suggested presentation topics here. Anybody wishing to attend the event is requested to register here.

Event details and the agenda will be published in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
