We're pleased to announce that we were recently recognized by The 2014 World Technology Awards as this year's winner in their IT Software (Corporate) category. Red Hat was one of the five finalists in the category, alongside ekin Technology, Leap Motion, Nginx, and Symantec. Last year, Red Hat President and CEO Jim Whitehurst was nominated for the IT Software (Individual) category.

In association with Fortune and Time, The World Technology Awards have been presented by The World Technology Network (WTN) since 2002. The WTN describes itself as a curated membership community comprised of the world's most innovative individuals and organizations in science, technology, and related fields. The WTN and its members are focused on exploring what is imminent, possible, and important in and around emerging technologies. The World Technology Awards exist as a way to honor outstanding innovators, and as a vetting mechanism to determine the newest WTN members - each year's award winners and award finalists.

Congratulations to our entire ecosystem of customers, partners, open source contributors, and associates that make honors like this possible!
