Asked to develop a healthcare data collection and aggregation system by the U.S. Department of Defense, Spin Systems used Red Hat platform and middleware solutions to build a system that collects more than 1.2 billion records a day from medical diagnostic devices, electronic medical records, information kiosks, and a broad range of other sources. This resulted in cheaper, more efficient access to healthcare records in minutes, rather than weeks or months. Spin Systems was the 2013 Red Hat Innovation Award Winner for Best Middleware Implementation.
