2015 Innovation Award categories

Infrastructure

Your infrastructure is already prepared for tomorrow.

You’re virtualized and in the cloud, with integrated data that supports you, wherever you’re going next. OpenStack and big data are exciting opportunities your IT teams rally behind. And, as a result, your productivity and performance are light-years ahead of your competition.

Tell us how you did it—and what you’re going to do next. Everyone else’s future plans may depend on it.

Suggested solutions

Notes from the judges

This award will be presented to the nominee with the strongest infrastructure – one that is flexible, scalable, cost effective, high performing, secure, etc. The winner should have a Red Hat platform, virtualization, cloud, and/or storage deployment that enables proactive IT management, scalability, and groundbreaking enhancements to its IT consumers.

Modernize

Migration scares other companies, but not you.

You took a great leap forward, moving away from aging, proprietary infrastructure and restrictive vendors and towards open source, standardized solutions. After the switch, you have systems that work together, whether it’s sharing data or changing how you develop, build, or manage your IT. And your business is reaping the benefits.

Show us your path, so that we may follow.

Suggested solutions

Notes from the judges

This award will be presented to the nominee with the most outstanding transition from an aging, proprietary infrastructure and restrictive vendors to standardized, open source solutions.

Transform

Providing services within your organization is good—but being a partner who makes service creation possible is better.

You’ve figured out how to make IT part of the business, and have given your people the power to select and manage their own technology resources. Development and operations work seamlessly, so nobody’s up all night. The time you save answering tickets and setting up systems lets you tend to business needs that greatly benefit your bottom line.

How did you get so influential?

Suggested solutions

Notes from the judges

This award will be presented to the nominee with the best use of Red Hat solutions to transform an IT department from a call center to a business partner that provides self-service and useful automation.

Cloud

Cloud is everywhere, but not everyone knows how to use it.

You’ve kept a lid on shadow IT and made cloud part of your business promise, whether it’s public, on-premise, or both. Your teams have the resources they need without the risks associated with outside service providers, and you’re not using up your whole budget to get things done.

Show us how you’re building the kind of cloud your business needs.

Suggested solutions

Notes from the judges

This award will be presented to the nominee that most successfully illustrates a cloud deployment using Red Hat cloud technologies.

Accelerate, integrate, automate

Technology works better when it all works together.

Coordinating applications, services, data, development, and business rules keep many IT managers up at night. But not you. Your business runs like a well-oiled machine, and your management console gives you ultimate power.

Tell us: How DO you keep things working so seamlessly?

Suggested products

Application development

Finding time to create innovative new solutions or services is hard.

But you’ve made it look easy. Whether you’re developing tomorrow’s applications on PaaS, or making efficient use of integrated rules and data, you’ve orchestrated innovation that will keep you going.
