Red Hat Innovation Awards
2013 Red Hat Innovator of the Year: Cigna shows how innovation is done
In 2011, Cigna gave a small team of engineers the freedom and capital to radically improve its IT provisioning process. Using Red Hat's open source Linux®, middleware, and virtualization products, plus Red Hat® consulting services, the team created Cigna Private Cloud, a wildly successful self-service provisioning system.
Now Cigna's development and infrastructure teams are seamlessly aligned. They deliver business applications to internal customers faster than ever and slashed provisioning time and costs. Cigna is working on version 2 of CPC and even trying to reproduce Red Hat's community approach to development. Learn more about Cigna's extraordinary IT transformation.
What are Red Hat Innovation Awards
Each year, Red Hat recognizes the technological achievements of individuals, companies, and partners worldwide that demonstrate creative thinking, determined problem solving, and innovative use of Red Hat solutions.
Share your success story by nominating your organization for the 2014 Red Hat Innovation Awards. Submissions are open from October 1 — December 13, 2013.
How the process works
Customers and partners can nominate their organizations for any of the 5 award categories. An industry-expert panel of judges will recognize 1 winner in each category. From these winners, a Red Hat Innovator of the Year will be chosen by the community through online voting.
