Red Hat announces support services into Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia through VDEL Limited

Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq:RHAT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions to the enterprise, today announced expanded support services for key developing markets in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia (CER). The services are being provided by VDEL Limited and VDEL Alliance Partners in the region in cooperation with Red Hat.


"Linux adoption is accelerating in developing markets such as the CER and local-language support is vital," said Werner Knoblich, Director of EMEA, Red Hat. "Our expertise in Linux support, combined with the VDEL Alliance for local language support, ensures that customers will quickly be able to migrate solutions to Red Hat Enterprise Linux."


VDEL and its VDEL Alliance members will be introducing Red Hat support services into the CER during the next 2 months.


1. Geographies: Support will be available in 23 countries in the CER.


2. Access: Customers will be able to contact support services via local telephone numbers in the countries.

3. Language: Services will be offered in the selected local language.


4. On-Site: Customers will have the option to purchase on-site delivery of services.
