Today, we are pleased to announce the availability of a new Red Hat Training certification: Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS). Our new certification is an upper-level credential that a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) can acquire by passing the following Certificates of Expertise:

  • EX401 Deployment and Systems Management
  • EX423 Directory Services and Authentication
  • EX436 Clustering and Storage Management

To take these Expertise exams, you’ll need to be a current RHCE. And your RHCDS certification remains current as long as your RHCE certification does.

The RHCDS certification proves that the individual has the skills and knowledge necessary to build reliable, available, scalable and manageable solutions in mission-critical datacenter environments using fully supported open source technologies from Red Hat.

The RHCDS certification joins the well-known Red Hat Training program that boasts approximately 50,000 Red Hat certified professionals, including nearly 30,000 RHCE certifications today. The program offers four certification levels including: Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS) and Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA). Our flagship certification, RHCE, is consistently named in the top 10 certifications in the industry and was named the Hottest Certification for 2006 by CertCities.com.
