Red Hat is pleased to announce the worldwide availability of a new certification, Red Hat® Certified JBoss Developer (RHCJD).

The RHCJD certification demonstrates a developer's knowledge, skills and abilities in building Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) applications for deployment on JBoss Enterprise Application Platform or other JEE-compliant platforms. To obtain the new certification, candidates must first pass the new exam, Red Hat Certified JBoss Developer (RHCJD) Exam (EX225).

Prior to attempting the exam, candidates should be able to improve, fix and extend existing JEE-compliant applications that will be deployed to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform. During the 4-hour exam, they will be asked to:

  • Configure and create an enterprise ready web project
  • Work with contexts (CDI)
  • Work with POJO/JEE components
  • Work with web/JSF components and web navigation
  • Expose components to external/legacy interfaces
  • Perform security duties

The exam can be taken in a regular classroom schedule setting, or via an Individual Exam Sessions kiosk (available in select locations). To help in their preparation for the exam, candidates may take the related course, JBoss Enterprise Application Development (JB225).
