The official agenda is set for the third JBoss Users and Developers Conference, JUDCon! As a conference “by developers, for developers,” JUDCon 2011: Boston focuses squarely on the JBoss.org community, and offers deep dives into JBoss community projects and other technical topics for developers.

Co-located with Red Hat Summit and JBoss World, JUDCon 2011: Boston will be held May 2-3, 2011 at the Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center. The 2011 agenda features three tracks with a total of 36 sessions focused on the JBoss Application Server; Java EE; programming, development and testing; scalability and the cloud; and “cool stuff” – a track that features presentations on a wide variety of topics that were too good to not include in this year’s agenda. JUDCon 2011: Boston will also feature a "Real World Challenges and JBoss” users panel, a live “JBoss Community Asylum” show, lightning talks, and our popular HackFest that will run into early morning hours. JUDCon 2011: Boston will culminate on Tuesday, May 3, with an afternoon keynote on the future of JBoss from Mark Little, Red Hat’s senior director of middleware engineering.

During JUDCon, we’ll also recognize the winners of this year’s JBoss Community Recognition Awards. Each year, the awards recognize individual members who have made exceptional contributions to JBoss.org community projects in one of five categories. Candidates for the awards are nominated by JBoss community project leads, and then voted on by the entire JBoss community.

The winners of the 2011 JBoss Community Recognition Awards are awarded the title “JBoss Community Leaders.” This year the JBoss Community Leaders are:

Documentation – Fred Curry (Toronto, Canada)

Wiki – Elias Barrientos (Lima, Peru)

Issue / JIRA – Ara Minosian (Saint Petersburg, Russia)

Bug Fixes – Salatino Mauricio (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

New Features – Salatino Mauricio (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

Join us in congratulating our new JBoss Community Leaders, and join us in Boston for what is shaping up to be a fantastic JUDCon!
