Eligibility
No purchase necessary. Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. This promotion is open only to professional developers employed in the field of technology who are legal residents of the 50 United States (includes the District of Columbia) and Canada (void in Quebec). Employees, officers, and directors of Red Hat, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliated companies and their immediate families and those living in their households are not eligible to enter. If you are acting within the scope of your employment, as an employee, contractor, or agent of another party, you warrant that such party has full knowledge of your actions and has consented thereto, including your potential receipt of a prize. You further warrant that you and your employer have no claim to or right of ownership in any work product created as part of the Sweepstakes and that your actions do not violate your employer's or company's policies and procedures.
How to Enter
Sweepstakes registration begins at 12:01 A.M. Eastern Time (ET) zone in the United States on March 8, 2007, and ends at 11:59 P.M. (ET) on March 15, 2007 ("Sweepstakes Perio"). To enter, you must complete and submit the on-line registration form at http://www.redhat.com/magazine/feedback/greenphone.html during the Sweepstakes Period.

Red Hat, Inc. ("Red Hat"), located at 1801 Varsity Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina , 27606, USA is the sponsor of the Promotion ("Sponsor").
Grand Prize: Sponsor will award one (1) Grand Prize a Trolltech Greenphone (Linux cellphone) Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") $695. The actual model of the grand prize will be at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Any expenses not explicitly listed herein, including any applicable tax on the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor is not responsible for any service subscriptions or any associated fees and charges. Winner is solely responsible for obtaining phone service required for proper device operation in order for the device to operate. No substitution, barter, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except by Sponsor at its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if prize is unavailable. Prize is not redeemable for cash. Prize will be awarded by e-mail and/or U.S. mail. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
ALL TAXES, IF ANY, ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS.
The prize winner will be selected on or about March 16, 2007 by a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone and may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release, where legal, within seven (7) calendar days of winner notification. If potential winner fails to return the Affidavit within the time period noted, it may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
Prizes are awarded without warranty of any kind from Sponsor, express or implied, without limitation, except where this would be contrary to federal, state, provincial, or local laws or regulations. All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. Submission of entry into this Sweepstakes deems that entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Return of any prize/prize notification may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Any potential winner who cannot be contacted within 7 days of attempted first notification will forfeit his/her prize. Potential Grand Prize winner(s) will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, and Liability/Publicity Release within 10 days following the date of first attempted notification. Failure to comply with this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for, and winners consent to, Sponsor and its agencies to use a winner's name and/or likeness and entry for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. To the extent permitted by law, entrants and winners agree to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes and/or use or acceptance of any prize won. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize. A participant may be prohibited from participating in this Sweepstakes if, in the Sponsor's sole discretion, it reasonably believes that the participant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other participants, the Sponsor or associated agencies. In the event a winner/potential winner's employer has a policy, which prohibits the awarding of a prize to an employee, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.
This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws. This Contest and Official Rules are governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
The name of the Grand Prize winner will be posted at www.redhatmagazine.com after the selection procedures have been fully satisfied or can be obtained by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Red Hat, Inc., 1801 Varsity Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606.
