ALL ABOUT SUBSCRIPTION CENTER EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

Upon order processing, Red Hat automatically entitles the end-customer, providing immediate electronic access to their subscriptions. Red Hat utilizes a set of email notifications that allows us to communicate with the end-customer, informing them of the availability of their subscriptions and, when necessary, prompting them to provide additional information or take action to gain access to their subscriptions. The email notifications are distributed in English only.

Review the Subscription Center email notifications.

The subject and purpose of the notifications sent to end-customers and the appropriate channel partners upon electronic fulfillment are:

End-Customer Order Fulfillment

  • Subject: Red Hat Order Notice
  • Target Recipient: End-customer
  • Purpose: Upon order processing, Red Hat notifies the end-customer contact named on the order that the subscriptions have been fulfilled.

Order Fulfillment Notification

  • Subject: Order Fulfillment Notice
  • Target Recipient: Distributor, Reseller
  • Purpose: After an order is processed and the subscription has been fulfilled to an end-customer, Red Hat notifies the appropriate channel partners.

New Service Activation Notification

  • Subject: New Service Activation
  • Target Recipient: End-customer
  • Purpose: Once the end-customer's subscriptions have been placed in their account, this notice is sent to inform them that the subscriptions are available electronically. Online resources are also provided to help them get started using the services included in their subscription.

Login Creation Request Notification

  • Subject: Login Creation Request
  • Target Recipient: End-customer
  • Purpose: This notice is sent to end-customers who do not have an existing account and informs them that in order to access their recently purchased subscriptions, they must create a Red Hat Login.

With a Red Hat Login, end-customers may use Red Hat Network to access and utilize the subscriptions placed in their account. With electronic fulfillment, these subscriptions will be available to the end-customer immediately. Note that registration numbers are no longer necessary with automatic electronic fulfillment.
