Red Hat Innovation Award
How Red Hat Innovation Award category winners were selected
Each application was reviewed by a panel of judges. The panel of judges
included Red Hat executives, community leaders, and journalists.
Submissions were judged on the following criteria:
- Creativity: What new or innovative ways were you able to use Red
Hat technology?
- Impact:
- How were existing processes improved or new processes
successfully implemented by the project?
- What technology challenges needed to be overcome to achieve
this goal?
- What can the business do today that it couldn't do before?
- Was there a measurable return on investment (ROI) and
increase in competitive advantage generated by the project?
- Presentation: Was the entry articulate and concise?
Judges selected one winner from each category. From this group, the Red
Hat community at the Red Hat Summit and on redhat.com will have the
chance to review and vote for the project they think should receive the
Red Hat Innovator of the Year award. Innovation winners in each category
will also be reviewed via their submission presentation for the Red Hat
Summit Innovation track and a case study published in the Conference
Guide and on redhat.com. The Red Hat Innovation Awards will be presented
on May 11, 2006 at Red Hat Summit.
