Free software did not just pop into being one day; it was the natural end result of a whole chain of circumstances. It's also been a very long process, almost 25 years in the making. The free content movement is now in its early stages. In this session, we will compare the drivers of the free content movement to the early drivers of the free software movement, and we will examine some of the opportunities that may emerge from a successful free content community.
