Red Hat’s certifications have been touted as among the best in the IT industry. More than 75,000 professionals across the globe have passed rigorous practical exams to earn Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT), Red Hat Certificates of Expertise, Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS), Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS) and Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) credentials. Today we are making an addition to this impressive lineup - the launch of our newest certification, JBoss Certified Application Administrator (JBCAA).

With the launch of JBCAA, Red Hat now offers its industry-acclaimed certification program spanning platform and middleware technologies. JBCAA is the only performance-based certification in its category, continuing on Red Hat’s tradition of benchmarking the skills of IT professionals through hands-on skills assessments. This approach to testing is markedly different from the multiple-choice testing prevalent among many IT certification programs. The new certification extends that tradition. Those earning JBCAA accreditation will have demonstrated the skills and knowledge needed to install, configure, monitor and manage JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and deploy applications to it.

Why are we offering a middleware certification now? Simply put - we are responding to interest in our open source middleware solutions. Our customers are looking to us to help them maximize their JBoss Enterprise Middleware deployment and optimize their strategic investment. The JBCAA can help our customers and partners get the most from Red Hat deployments.

The JBCAA certification exam is expected to be globally available from Red Hat in October.
