The Department of Homeland Security has joined the federal movement to cloud computing—but with the cloud's promise also come perils.

Homeland Security Today asked more than a half-dozen experts from the government and the private sector—including experts from two of the largest commercial cloud providers in the federal market and the man in charge of information technology (IT) infrastructure from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—to help shed light on the difference between the perceived security risks of moving to the cloud and the reality.
