Open Source Is Becoming a Military Necessity

One major concern about open source is that it's not secure. Red Hat is helping to make open source technology secure by offering a subscription to support services. The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have taken note and are incorporating open source technology into their systems and applications.
