Implementing InterSystems Caché® in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 cluster

The purpose of this document is to provide a reference for implementing the InterSystems Caché® database in a fault tolerant manner. Specifically, this guide discusses using Red Hat Clustering for the high availability requirement to provide the highest level of up-time and automated failover capability during system failures.

This guide walks you through an overview of:

  • Clustering
  • A description of the requirements to build and implement this solution.
  • A description of the common reference architecture.

The document will also address best practices for installing and configuring this reference architecture to include the operating system, clustering software and the related Caché database.
