Server Migration from UNIX/RISC to Red Hat Enterprise Linux on Intel Xeon Processors

This paper examines 2 case studies where organizations were recently faced with application upgrades. Both found that by migrating to Red Hat®/Intel solutions, they could cut their costs by more than half compared to upgrading to newer versions of UNIX/RISC platforms. And the upgrades paid for themselves in less than 6 months.
