Welcome to the Red Hat Government Partner website! Red Hat places enormous value on the government channel and we encourage you to take a look around our government sites for upcoming partner programs and general partner information. The government channel at Red Hat provides subscriptions, services, and solutions to the federal, state, and local government, K-12 education, and higher education customers. Today 98% of our business flows to government customers through a channel partner. VARs, SIs, and OEMS make up our primary partner engagements, but ISVs and IHVs are also important for our daily channel activity.

Red Hat's public sector VARs represent our fastest growing channel to customers. We regularly engage our group of active partners with strategies around sales, marketing, and account planning. Our government channel consists of a diverse set of organizations that are focused on a specific market segment and/or a vertical technology solution.

Due to IT budget constraints, pressures on CIO's to drive innovation and differentiation, new technologies fueling data center and application retooling, and the Open Source model changing IT economics in favor of the Government customer, SI's are expanding their solution offerings in proposal responses to include Red Hat Enterprise Linux, JBoss and MetaMatrix. With Red Hat's business development team for government, we continue to strengthen partnerships with system integrators including SAIC, Booz Allen Hamilton, SRA, Lockheed Martin, CSC, BAE, Raytheon, SI-International, Boeing, L3, General Dynamics, and others.
