Thanks to the Demand & Internal Guidance section of the Red Hat Software Catalog, Red Hat sales professionals have the opportunity to relay customer demand for software application support directly to our partners.
Through the Software Catalog, you will receive an automated alert letting you know a customer has conveyed the desire to run one of your applications on a particular version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Partners are then able to respond by either certifying the application on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, or providing guidance on that particular product. An example of guidance: Testing is underway with support expected in the spring. Or that the product is reaching end of life and you recommend the customer consider upgrading to a more current version of your product, one that already supports Enterprise Linux.
Because the guidance is deemed internal, anything you communicate back through the Internal Guidance section of the Software Catalog is only visible to Red Hat and you, the partner. The public side of the Software Catalog only displays applications that support Enterprise Linux.
Demand & Internal Guidance offers partners the ability to view, track, and respond to these requests, providing valuable insight into market demands. And by responding to demand requests, we can ensure that customers have the latest information on application support. The result is complete integration between Red Hat and our partners, which means an exceptional experience for our joint customers.
Demand & Internal Guidance is available to all Red Hat ISV partners in the Red Hat Software Catalog.
