Then you need to get local printing from the print server working (ie, sitting at the print server and issuing `lpr filename` works...)
This actually involves several steps including loading the proper parallel port drivers (just the lp module on 2.0.x, and the parport_pc, lp, and maybe others). This is described pretty well in the Printing-HOWTO or at http://www.cyberelk.demon.co.uk/parport.html.
