Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management Expertise Exam (EX436)
The Red Hat® Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management Expertise Exam is a performance-based test of the skills covered in the Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management (RH436) course. To enroll in this exam, candidates must be a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE®).
Associated certifications
An RHCE that passes this exam will have earned a Certificate of Expertise, which counts toward earning a Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS) and Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification.
Red Hat Certificates of Expertise
Certificates of Expertise credentials are earned when an RHCE passes an upper-level, performance-based expertise exam in specialized areas of system administration.
Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist ― RHCDS
An RHCDS certification may be earned by an RHCE who has demonstrated the skills required to use a broader set of tools from the Red Hat portfolio to implement reliable, scalable solutions. An RHCDS possesses skills in areas particularly important to mission-critical datacenter environments.
Red Hat Certified Architect ― RHCA
An RHCE who earns the RHCA certification brings an exceptional breadth and depth of knowledge to the biggest IT challenges. RHCA certification incorporates the skills and knowledge of an RHCDS plus advanced networking services security, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
Classroom training
Exam candidates must have a current RHCE certification at the time of enrollment.
This exam is performance-based, meaning that candidates must perform tasks on a live system, rather than answering questions about how one might perform those tasks.
The hands-on nature of this exam make real-world experience a critical facet of preparation.
Exam results are emailed within 5 business days following the exam.
