Advanced System Administration curriculum
Designed for the experienced senior system Linux® administrator, Red Hat® Architect-level courses provide the training, skills, and guidance required to master highly complex planning, deployment, and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux solutions.
These courses also prepare a qualified Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE®) to take expertise exams. Each advanced system administration course has a corresponding expertise exam. These exams test the advanced skills needed to earn a Certificate of Expertise and Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS), Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), and Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) credentials.
Red Hat Cloud Architecture (CL350)
This two-day course is designed for IT architects who require a detailed understanding of Red Hat cloud capabilities and want to gain the knowledge needed to select the right components and develop applications for their organization's private cloud.
Red Hat Enterprise Security: Network Services (RHS333)
This course equips senior system administrators and security professionals with the skills and knowledge required to harden systems against both internal and external attacks. Students delve more deeply into the security features, capabilities, and risks associated with the most commonly deployed services.
This course prepares an RHCE for the Red Hat Enterprise Security: Network Services Expertise Exam (EX333). Exam not included.
Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management (RH401)
Designed for experienced Linux system admins, this course explores the concepts and methods necessary for successful large-scale deployment and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Course participants learn how to install and use a Red Hat Network Satellite server for deployment and provisioning of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
This course prepares an RHCE for the Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management Expertise Exam (EX401). Exam not included.
Red Hat Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication (RH423)
This intense course is designed to train senior system administrators on how to manage and deploy the Red Hat Directory Server on and for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Also covered are cross-platform integration of directory services in order to provide authentication or information services across the enterprise.
This course prepares an RHCE for the Red Hat Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication Expertise Exam (EX423). Exam not included.
Red Hat Enterprise SELinux Policy Administration (RHS429)
This course is designed for senior system administrators, security administrators, and application programmers to learn how SELinux works and how to manage, write, compile, and debug an SELinux policy.
This course prepares an RHCE for the Red Hat Enterprise SELinux Policy Administration Expertise Exam (EX429). Exam not included.
Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management (RH436)
This course dives into storage management, Red Hat Cluster Suite, and the shared storage technology delivered by Red Hat Global File System (GFS). Senior Linux system administrators learn to deploy and manage shared storage and server clusters that provide highly available network services to a mission-critical enterprise environment.
This course prepares an RHCE for the Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management Expertise Exam (EX436). Exam not included.
Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning (RH442)
This course is designed to teach senior Linux system administrators the methodology of performance tuning and capacity planning. Topics covered are system architecture, system performance, performance adjustments, open source benchmarking utilities, analyzing system and networking performance, and tuning configurations for specific application loads.
This course prepares an RHCE for the Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning Exam (EX442). Exam not included.
