Thank you to all who joined us for Tuesday’s virtual event and webcast celebrating the 10 years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and giving a glimpse into its future direction. Red Hat Enterprise Linux transformed enterprise IT, and dramatically changed the software industry forever. By combining the open source development model with a customer-centric subscription-based business model, Red Hat gave enterprise customers the means to leverage the value of open source in a way that made sense for them. And, that helped spur the adoption of Linux across the enterprise.

But it wasn’t easy. There were doubts and obstacles to overcome, customers and partners to convince, and millions of developers to collaborate with. With commitment and vision, it all just worked.

In case you missed the webcast, you can visit here for the replay and watch the 10 Years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux film on Red Hat’s YouTube channel. The short film features Red Hat engineering and business executives, our customers and key technology partners – including Dell, IBM, and Intel – talking about the explosion of Linux in the enterprise with the 2002 delivery of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
