About Mark Brown: Mark is a Senior Technical Staff Member at the IBM Linux Technology Center in Austin, TX. He is currently the technical lead for Platform Management software on Linux and an expert in Open Source licensing. He is the technical lead for UNIX-to-Linux migration and porting technologies, and IBM's primary representative to the IEEE POSIX and UNIX trademark standards working groups. His experience includes more than 20 years in UNIX and Linux operating system development, with an emphasis on C language libraries and ABIs.
About Robert A. Zuber: Bob Zuber, WW Marketing Manager, System x Marketing. Bob has worked in the Computer Industry for over 23 years, starting at Lotus Development Corp as a developer. Bob has been with IBM for 17 years, specializing in Intel based servers for the last 12 years. Bob helped develop and launch X Architecture servers, creating servers with the same reliability and scalability that can be found across the IBM STG portfolio. Bob Zuber specializes in virtualization, and scalable x86 products. Bob is now managing the group responsible for eX5 products, the next generation in x86 scalable servers that maximize memory, reduce customers costs, and simplifies their deployment needs.
About Jeff Bernard: Jeff Bernard is a Senior Director at Red Hat, Inc. and heads up ISV Partner Development in the Platform Business Unit and has a leadership role in UNIX to Red Hat migration programs. Red Hat is the leader in enterprise Linux and is the most recognized open source brand in the world. We serve global enterprises with technology and services made possible by the open source model. With over 25 years of experience in the high technology arena. Jeff most recently worked at EMC Corporation where he lead the marketing for the midrange CLARiiON software group and helped align VMware and their virtualization offerings with EMC's business. Previous to this Jeff held several different marketing teams at Sun Microsystems and led the Solaris Marketing organization where he rolled out Solaris 8 on a worldwide basis.
