Comment (by domcleal):
Thanks for the report and files, it is indeed very useful.

/etc/exports appears to be in a very different format to Linux and Solaris
style exports files, I'm not sure if we can or should make the same lens
handle both. Thoughts anybody?
[http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=exports&sektion=5 FreeBSD
exports(5)].
/etc/host.conf appears to be in a different format to Linux again. I
can't find a man page at the moment, only a reference here pointing out
it's different: [http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook
/linuxemu-lbc-install.html#AEN15028 11.2.4 Configuring the Hostname
Resolver]
/etc/hosts.allow has a number of issues, doesn't permit whitespace in
lists, doesn't support IPv6, doesn't support network/netmask notation and
is struggling with the shell commands in your example file. I'll open
another ticket to track all of these bits.
/etc/rc.conf looks like a third party lens that isn't included in Augeas.
Do you know where it came from? We could include and fix it if it's
licensed appropriately.
