 Dear Jay!

This combination works well for me too. But keeping the same Milo and
AlphaBIOS and compiling my kernel (not 2.0.30) I immediately have the
clock problem. The kernels I tried and have the problem are 2.0.32 and
2.0.33 as taken from ftp.kernel.org together with
alpha-patches-2.0.32-0.1. I do NOT experience any random slowing or
speeding of the clock during about two weeks of run time. It either
goes at the right speed (2.0.30) or the 2X (2.0.32 and 2.0.33). Note,
that I always do the cold boot (power off). Therefore I believe it's a
software (kernel) problem. I have RH 5.0 installation with some
updates.

Do you need any additional information?

 Cheers,
