Major problems with UP2000 - need help in Firmware

Hi again,

I posted a while back about a dead UP2000 cpu. I was sent replacement CPUs and Motherboard by the seller in an attempt to get things up and running again. Using the new CPUs (also 667MHz 4MB) it appears the 1st motherboard I have has developed a fault on the secondary CPU slot and it also appears one of the original CPUs is now dead too.

Unfortuantely, Ive ran into different problems with the "new" UP2000 board (seems older than the original):

Upon power on it goes to a blue screen with a blinking cursor and stays there.
I have checked the online manuals (not much help) and set the system to "Factory Defaults" (no change) and then to Recovery Using Firmware. When in this Recovery mode I have a bunch of options, but most SRM commands do not work. I have tried the firmware update (fwupdate) from within the Recovery Bios, I got it to flash the UP2000 SRM bios by renaming the UP20SRM.rom FW file to "pc264srm.rom". This flashed, but doesnt seem to have done anything.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? What do I do in the Recovery Mode? What could be causing the blue screen with blinking cursor?

Alan
