Miata (PWSnnn) questions

 Could be firmware settings. I know my 164 has some firmware strangeness 
that would cause trouble. For instance in the case of a reset, it 
doesn't pick up the ide devices, but after a cold boot it does. Also, it 
doesn't return to console after a 670 machine check, even when hitting 
"halt" as the firmware instructs. So, firmware could be part of the 
issue. I'm not sure if there is any power management config under SRM or 
not.
