Linux problems galore.

Well, I took a look-see inside my machine and some nard (you know, me) had
some PC133 in there.  I've swapped it out for some generic crap 100 that I
found in this mess of a basement...  There is NO quality RAM around here.

I'll let you know how it goes as I play with it.  The boot seemed faster,
and nothing has bombed yet, but Red Hat still feels off... the midi player
plays for a few seconds then sound ceases to be produced.  If you scan into
the middle of the file, it'll play and drop out again.  What's with that?
